Overview

The starboard reposts the best messages of your server. When a message gets enough ⭐ reactions, Petto copies it to the starboard channel, so people can find the funniest, kindest or most useful posts in one place. It needs Manage Server to configure.

Setting it up

  • set chooses the channel where the reposts go. enable turns the starboard on with the current settings (you can set the channel first or after), and disable turns it off.
  • threshold is how many reactions a message needs (default 3).
  • emoji is the reaction that counts, a Unicode or a custom emoji (default ⭐).
  • view shows the current settings: channel, threshold, emoji, self-star, the saved embed and what is ignored.

Self-star

By default the author’s own reaction does not count (selfstar is off). Turn it on to let people star their own messages.

Ignoring channels, roles and members

Messages from an ignored channel, or from someone with an ignored role, or from an ignored member, never reach the starboard. target is a mention or an ID. unignore removes it from the list.

Changing how the reposts look

By default Petto reposts with its usual message. Give the name of a saved embed to make the reposts look the way you want, with the {star.*} variables. none goes back to the usual message.
