RolesPartnersUploadsReviewsRequestsSticky messagesHelp
Roles, partners, uploads, reviews and requests, and faster sticky messages

New Features

  • Partners and uploads have milestone rewards. !partnerconfig reward add 10 @Role gives a role to the member who reaches 10 partnerships, and !uploadconfig reward add does the same for uploads. Each milestone is given once per member and can post a message of your own. See Partners and Uploads.
  • !partnerconfig nickname renames a Partner Manager after each partnership, with {name} and {count}. It is off until you set it.
  • Reviews have rules you choose: !profileconfig rules sets the minimum age of the reviewer’s account, the minimum time in the server, a cooldown between reviews and the shortest and longest comment. All are off until you set them. Staff can take down a review with !review remove <user> <reviewer>. See Reviews and profiles.
  • !profile is now one card with partnerships, uploads, rating and requests, only for the modules your server uses.
  • Requests can remind you: !requestconfig notify <hours|off> pings the staff once for a request nobody claimed, and !requestconfig unclaim <hours|off> gives a request back when its claim is not finished in time. The second one is no longer Premium. Both are off until you set them. See Requests.
  • Join roles and sticky roles now live in /role: /role join add|remove|list|clear|apply and /role sticky enable|disable|status. They are no longer in /greet, and !joinrole, !jr and !stickyroles work as before. A join role can wait until the member accepts the rules, and apply gives it to the members who are already in the server. See Role commands.
  • The mass role commands (/role all, humans, has, bots and bots-remove) run as jobs: preview counts first, joined_after, joined_before, min_roles and max_roles narrow who is touched, reason goes to the audit log, and /role job shows, pauses, resumes or cancels the job. A job keeps going after the bot restarts.
  • The Roles page of the dashboard has real date pickers, a preview of how many members will change, progress with the time left, pause, resume, cancel, a history of the last jobs and clear errors.

Changed Behavior

  • Sticky messages come back to the bottom in about half a second, instead of after a few seconds, and still never appear twice. See Sticky messages.
  • The list that /help command: shows while you type now says what each command does next to its name.
  • An ad with the invite of a blacklisted server, in a partner channel, is deleted when Petto can manage messages, and the member gets a short notice that goes away by itself.
  • !role all @Role remove now removes the role. Before, the word remove was ignored and the role was given.
  • The ship card is new: a love card drawn with hearts and sparkles whose colors follow the score, the avatars in rings, a big heart with the percentage and a row of 10 hearts. The message gives the name of the couple, the compatibility and a line for each of 8 levels. The same pair still gets the same result. See Fun.

Bug Fixes

  • Two invites to the same server in one message count as one partnership.
  • Uploads in a thread of an upload channel, or in a post of an upload forum, now count, and two files sent at the same moment give one welcome and not two.
  • A request that was finished at the moment its time limit ran out is no longer reopened.
  • A temporary role no longer takes away, when its time ends, a role you gave later for good.
  • YouTube: a new video waits (up to 20 minutes) until its thumbnail exists, so the notice no longer shows a gray box instead of the picture.

Prefix commands are moving to slash commands

New Features

  • We are moving prefix commands to slash commands, little by little, because Discord may limit what bots can read from messages. Your ! commands keep working exactly as now, so there is nothing to change in your server.
  • Related commands now live together as subcommands of one slash command: one idea per command and no loose commands, so your / menu stays tidy. See the Prefix page.
  • /server and /user show information about the server and about members, including the server icon, banner and splash in every size Discord offers.
  • /mod puts 25 moderation subcommands in one place: ban, kick, mute, tempmute, unmute, warn, softban, tempban, unban, hardban, note, case, history, jail, unjail, nickname, stripstaff, purge, clearinvites, pauseinvites, lockdown, unlockdown, lock, unlock and slowmode.
  • /staff gathers the tools for your moderators that do not fit in /mod: voice actions, threads, nuke, raid, the mass actions (massban, masskick, masswarn and more) and snipe.
  • /game brings the fun commands, the animal pictures and the game lookups (Minecraft, Roblox, Steam, Chess.com, Lichess, Pokémon and Modrinth) together.
  • /me is everything that is yours: birthday, rep, your personal prefix, name history, ranking, Last.fm and Spotify.
  • /search looks things up for you: anime, movies, YouTube, Twitch, wikis, weather, time, currency, crypto, GitHub and npm.
  • /config holds your server setup: prefix, language, aliases, moderation roles, restricting or disabling commands, and backups.
  • /protect covers honeypot, verify and security, and /greet covers welcome, leave, boost messages, join roles and sticky roles.
  • /auto has auto threads, bump reminders, auto reactions, reaction roles, sticky messages and timers, and /message has send, embeds, webhooks, senders, panels, responders and pagination.
  • /community groups suggestions, confessions, requests, reviews and profiles, /contrib groups partners and uploads, and /special groups counting, counters, image-only and link-only channels.
  • /bot shows uptime, version, votes and Premium.
  • These commands are now slash commands on their own, each with its subcommands: /level, /automod, /form, /forum, /role, /logs, /permission, /antinuke, /antiscam, /invites, /autoresponder, /image, /feed, /identity, /starboard, /clownboard, /monkeyboard, /stats, /customcommand, /rollouts, /quickreply, /voicemaster, /giveawaypreset and /giveawaytemplate.
  • Each subcommand checks the permission of the command it replaces, so a member who can only kick cannot use /mod ban. See Permissions.
  • /help command: now suggests commands and subcommands while you type.
  • /level notify test (and /level voice-notify test) shows you your next level-up message exactly as your settings would send it, and saves nothing. See Leveling.
  • A mistyped command gets help: !bna now answers “Did you mean !ban?” with up to three close commands.
  • The word petto always works as a prefix, even if your server only uses a prefix of its own.
  • BETA: /ai ask and !ask answer your questions with an AI: 10 a day for free members, unlimited with Premium. /ai usage shows how many you have left. See Ask.
  • /boosterrole is now its own slash command, with the same 23 subcommands as !boosterrole.
  • !bots (and /server bots) lists the bots of the server: name, ID, Verified, when each joined. See Server information.
  • Every DM from Petto now starts with a grey From <server> line and has three small buttons: info (the icon, name, ID, creation date and members of the server, in a private message only you see), delete (removes that DM) and report (sends a report to the Petto team only, never to the server’s moderators). See DMs from Petto.

Changed Behavior

  • Prefix commands now answer as a reply to the message that typed them, so you can always tell who ran what.
  • !help for a command with several entries has a cleaner layout and a menu to jump to any entry. Pressing someone else’s menu gets you a private notice.
  • Everyday words that are also commands (me, bot, auto, config, message and a few more) are just chat after the word prefix: petto me ayudas is not a command, while !me and /me work.
  • The option of /help is now called command (it was query).
  • /help now answers in the channel, and its menus describe each option.
  • The booster role moved out of /me into /boosterrole. !boosterrole and its short words work as before.
  • Reddit and Pinterest posts have a new clean card with the picture and a button. Only the animal and pictures feeds and !animal show just the picture; every other feed looks as before.
  • The default “just posted” line is now only for creator platforms (YouTube, Twitch, GitHub and similar). Feeds with their own text are untouched. See Feeds.
  • Forms are numbered per server (1, 2, 3…) instead of sharing one counter between all servers. Your first form is number 1.
  • !ping and /ping no longer show the number of members.
  • Tickets fix themselves: a button pressed late, or on a ticket whose channel is already gone, no longer shows an error, and a real failure tells the member to try again and that the team was told.
  • /level reward add and remove now ask for the kind of level last. !xp reward add voice 5 @Role still works as before.
  • Premium that has ended is now removed automatically, and a plan that is still running is never touched. See Premium.
  • When someone without the permission tries a staff-only slash command, the refusal is now private, so nobody sees who tried.
  • If you press the page buttons of someone else’s /top, you get a private note telling you whose ranking it is and how to open yours.
  • /avatar, /userinfo, /serverinfo, /unban, /purge and /timeout are now part of /user, /server and /mod (/user avatar, /user info, /server info, /mod unban, /mod purge, /mod tempmute). The prefix forms work as before.

Bug Fixes

  • The level-up card no longer hides part of the position label when the name and the label are long.
  • A timer that mentions @everyone or a role now pings it, just like a message typed by your staff (with the right permission).
  • Typing a wrong choice with the prefix (like !xpn tets) now tells you the valid choices instead of saving it.
  • Changing the language in one copy of the setup message now updates the other copies too.
  • A long result, such as a mass unban of thousands of users, no longer ends in “Something went wrong” after the work was done.
  • Long names on image cards get smaller or wrap instead of running over the next line, and names with emoji, Arabic or Hebrew letters are drawn properly.
  • An embed with a picture link that is too long no longer makes Discord refuse the whole message.
  • The invite tracker asks Discord less and no longer credits the wrong invite after an error or a missed event.
  • Pinterest feed posts and the feed test message now show the pin picture.
  • Only people with the Manage Messages permission can use !send and /message send. The permission is checked first on every way of sending, and refusals are private.
  • A Pinterest board no longer posts an empty card again and again.
  • When a command fails for an unexpected reason, the message now says to try again in a moment and where to tell the team.
