# Image Cards

> A picture drawn for a message, with the member's name and avatar.

## Overview

An image card is a picture Petto draws for a message: the member's avatar and name, the server's member count, a progress bar, or any other [variable](/resources/scripting/variables). Make cards in the [dashboard](https://petto.sbs/dash) under **Image cards**, then point a saved [embed](/resources/scripting/embeds) at one.

## Where cards are sent

A saved embed that has a card sends it with:

* Welcome, leave and boost messages
* Tickets
* Giveaway messages
* Level-up messages (`card` option of `!level notify`)
* Autoresponders
* `!embed send`
* Sanctions, starboard, verification and bump messages that use a [saved embed](/guides/saved-embeds-everywhere)

Rank cards for `!rank` are set with `!level rank-style <style> [card]`.

## Kinds

Every card is either a **welcome** card or a **rank** card. Rank cards can use the **progress bar** layer, which fills with the member's progress to the next level.

A card that used Premium features keeps working with its basic settings if Premium ends.

## Pictures

A background or any picture can come from an `https` link or be uploaded in the dashboard. Links are only fetched from the public internet.
