# Requests

> Members ask for something and the staff claims and finishes it.

## Overview

A member asks for something with `!request make`. Petto posts a **card** in the channel you choose, with buttons for the staff:

| Button | Who can press it |
| - | - |
| **Claim** | The staff |
| **Done** | Who claimed it, or the staff |
| **Unclaim** | Who claimed it, or who manages the server |
| **Cancel** | The author, or the staff |

The staff is the role you choose, or, if there is none, whoever can manage messages. Who manages the server is always staff. When a request is done, Petto tells the author in the same channel.

<Note>
  With **Premium**, a claimed request that is not finished within the hours you set goes back to open by itself, and the staff is told.
</Note>

## Commands

<CodeGroup>
  ```javascript Syntax theme={null}
  !request make <text>
  !request list [mine]
  !requestconfig view
  !requestconfig enable <true|false>
  !requestconfig channel <channel>
  !requestconfig staff [role]
  !requestconfig ping [role]
  !requestconfig limit <1-25>
  !requestconfig timeout <hours>
  !requestconfig reply [text] [template]
  ```

  ```javascript Example theme={null}
  !requestconfig enable true
  !requestconfig channel #requests
  !requestconfig staff @Designers
  !request make A banner for my server, pink and blue
  ```
</CodeGroup>

The answer to who makes a request can be text or one of your [saved embeds](/resources/scripting/embeds), with the `{request.*}` [variables](/resources/scripting/variables). `limit` is how many open requests a member can have at once.

## Dashboard

The **Requests** page has the same settings and the open requests.
