# Quest Alerts

> Petto posts in a channel when Discord has a new Quest.

## Overview

Petto can post a message in a channel when Discord has a **new Quest**. The card shows the picture, the reward (Orbs, or the avatar decoration), the tasks, the platforms, the dates and any limits by country or 18+.

  `!quests list` can be used by everyone. The settings need the **Manage Server** permission. The data comes from four public copies of the Quest list: the short list of recent Quests of `xGustavvo/discord-api-tracker` (the fastest), `discordquest.com`, `aamiaa/discord-api-diff` and the tracker's big file. If one is late or down, the others keep the alerts working.

## What each one does

| Command | What it does |
| - | - |
| `enable` | Turns the alerts on in a channel, with an optional role to ping |
| `rewards` | Only alert for some rewards: `orbs`, `decoration`, `code`, `ingame`, `nitro`. Empty for all |
| `tasks` | Only alert for some tasks: `video`, `play`, `stream`, `activity`. Empty for all |
| `expiring` | Also alert this many hours before a Quest ends. `0` turns it off |
| `style` | The card, or one of your [saved embeds](/resources/scripting/embeds) (including V2 designs) |
| `card` | Choose which parts the card shows |
| `color` | A color for the card. Empty uses the color of each Quest |
| `list` | The Quests that are active now, with a menu to see each one complete |
| `test` | Sends the newest active Quest here, to see how the alert looks |
| `status` | The settings and the state of the Quests data |

## Dashboard

The **Quests** page of the dashboard has the same settings and a live preview, and can create a V2 design that starts as the card Petto sends.
