# Monkeyboard

> The starboard's opposite: the messages that get enough 🐒 reactions are reposted in their own channel, so the facepalms are kept too.

## Overview

The monkeyboard works exactly like the [starboard](https://wiki.petto.sbs/automation/starboard.md), but with the monkey. Where the star marks what a server loves, the 🐒 marks the opposite: the message that deserves a facepalm, the worst take of the week, the thing that made everyone laugh for the wrong reasons.

When a message gets enough 🐒 reactions, Petto copies it to the monkeyboard channel. It has its own channel, its own emoji, its own count and its own reposts, so a server can have both boards at once, or only one.

![Petto's repost in the monkeyboard channel with the count, the memes channel, for's message and picture in a brown embed and the Original Message button](https://mintcdn.com/wikipetto/Z-XTVemdYTr1KRaH/images/discord/automation/monkeyboard.webp?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=Z-XTVemdYTr1KRaH\&q=85\&s=4c216342662d8192211a8224a722333c)

In Discord: a meme with five 🐒, reposted in the monkeyboard.

It needs **Manage Server** to configure. The same settings are in the **Boards** page of the dashboard (Community), a card for each board with a sample of the repost.

> In Discord: the current settings.

* `set` chooses the channel where the reposts go. `enable` turns it on with the current settings, and `disable` turns it off (and forgets the reposts it made).
* `threshold` is how many reactions a message needs (from 1 to 100, default **3**).
* `emoji` is the reaction that counts, a Unicode or a custom emoji (default 🐒). You can give **up to 5** (`!monkeyboard emoji 🐒 🍌`): the first is the main one, a message counts with any of them, and someone who reacts with several counts once.
* `view` shows the current settings.

Short names: `!mkb` and `!monkey`.

## The rest

Everything else is the same as in the starboard, with the same words:

* `!monkeyboard selfmonkey <enabled>`: let people count their own reaction (off by default).
* `!monkeyboard ignore <channel|role|member> <target>` and `unignore`: messages from there never reach the board.
* `!monkeyboard message <template>` (or `none`): a [saved embed](https://wiki.petto.sbs/resources/scripting/embeds.md) for the reposts. It has its own `{monkey.*}` [variables](https://wiki.petto.sbs/resources/scripting/variables.md): `{monkey.count}`, `{monkey.emoji}`, `{monkey.channel}`, `{monkey.link}`, `{monkey.author}`, `{monkey.content}`, `{monkey.image}` and the rest, the same ones the starboard has as `{star.*}`.
* `!monkeyboardconfig` shows the whole configuration in one place.

The repost shows the author, the text, the pictures, the count of 🐒 and a link to the original message, in a brown embed. The count follows the reactions, and the repost goes away if they are taken back below the threshold.
